CAUTION: The brake pedal travel must not be interfered with by additional floor mats.


Install tool T10189 on the brake pedal push rod mount and support bracket (Fig. 6.58).

Install tool T10189 on the brake pedal push rod mount and support bracket (Fig. 6.58).


First, press the brake pedal slightly towards the brake booster and hold it in this position.

Then press the T10189 tool towards the brake booster while holding the brake pedal (the pedal should not move back at this moment). In this way, the locking tabs 3 of the fastening are pressed by the ball head of the pressure rod 2 (Fig. 6.58).

Press the T10189 tool further towards the brake booster and at the same time pull the brake pedal towards the driver's seat. (This moves the brake pedal away from the ball head of the pressure rod).
