Removing
Remove the two rear wheels.
Remove the center console.
Before unscrewing the hexagon nut 1, measure the value a (pic. 6.55).
Record the resulting value.
Slightly turn hex nut 1 back until the brake cables can be removed from the compensation bracket (pic. 6.55).
Unlock the cable sheath from the mount.
Disconnecting the brake cable from the expansion lock.
Only possible with unloaded brake cable.
Unscrew the locking bolt of the parking brake adjusting nut.
Press the brake cable nipple against the retaining spring in the spacer lock down until the brake cable can be removed (pic. 6.56).
The right side is shown in mirror image, i.e. the brake cable nipple must be pressed upwards.
Unlock the brake cable from the holder on the tank.
Remove the brake cable from the holder on the subframe and then remove it.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
The brake cable nipple should click into place in the expansion lock.
Install the brake cables into the expansion bracket.
Tighten the hexagon nut 1 on the pusher 2 until the value a measured in front of the body is reached (pic. 6.55).
Check the free play of the pedal parking brake lever.
