Removal



Remove the trim on the driver's side.

Disconnect the plug from the parking brake contact switch.

Remove the left fuse box and set it and the wiring harness as far to the side as possible.

First press the stop spring plate A downwards, then compress the cable adjustment spring B (Fig. 6.52).

Secure the compressed spring by inserting, for example, a drill through the holes in the pedal parking brake lever and the cable mount located behind it (Fig. 6.53).

Disconnect cable A from mounting 1 of the pedal parking brake lever.

Unlock the cable sheath 2 from the fastening (Fig. 6.54).

Unlock the cable sheath 2 from the fastening (Fig. 6.54).


Remove the two foot brake lever mounting bolts.



Remove the foot brake lever from the mounting.

Installation



Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Remove the transport protection (drill) from the foot brake lever.

The brake cable length will be automatically adjusted using springs.

Check the free play of the foot brake lever.
