Pic. 6.11. Pad thickness measurement: a - pad thickness without pad
Measure the thickness of the outer and inner pads (pic. 6.11).
Wear criterion: 2 mm.
With lining thickness (without back plate) 2mm brake pads are considered worn and should be replaced.
Note: When replacing the brake pads, it is also mandatory to check the degree of wear of the brake discs
Screw the wheel in the marked position.
Tighten the wheel bolts crosswise.
After completing the work, put the adapter for the security bolts in the car tool kit.
Install wheel bolt caps if necessary.
Rear brake pads
Shine a flashlight through the hole in the rim.
Visually determine the thickness of the outer pad.
Shine a flashlight on the inner block and substitute a mirror.

Visually determine the thickness of the inner pad (pic. 6.12).
Wear criterion: 2 mm
With lining thickness (without back plate) 2mm brake pads are considered worn and should be replaced.
