Electrical connector location (1) supply voltage to the fuel injector and connector (2) at the fuel injector
Order of execution
1. Disconnect an electric socket from a fuel atomizer of the first cylinder, see fig. Electrical connector location (1) supply voltage to the fuel injector and connector (2) at the fuel injector.
2. Connect to connector pins (1) control LED (see fig. Electrical connector location (1) supply voltage to the fuel injector and connector (2) at the fuel injector). When cranking the crankshaft of the engine with a starter, the LED should flash.
3. Similarly, check the voltage supply to the remaining fuel injectors.
LED does not flash on any of the cylinders
The location of the contacts on the electrical connector for supplying voltage to the fuel injector
1. Connect the control LED to pin No. 1 of the electrical connector for supplying voltage to the fuel injector and vehicle ground, see fig. The location of the contacts on the electrical connector for supplying voltage to the fuel injector.
2. Connect contact No. 2 of the electrical connector to the vehicle ground.
3. Turn the crankshaft of the engine with a starter. In this case, the LED should flash. Otherwise, check the entire fuel injector supply circuit.
LED does not flash on only one or more cylinders
1. Check the condition of the fuel injector power supply circuit and locate and repair the open circuit or short to ground.
2. Check the operation of the engine control unit.
Resistance test
Ohmmeter connection points for checking the resistance of fuel injectors
Consistently disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors and, using an ohmmeter, check the resistance of the fuel injectors, which should be in the range from 12 to 17 ohms, see fig. Ohmmeter connection points for checking the resistance of fuel injectors.
Warning: On an engine warmed up to normal operating temperature, the resistance of the fuel injectors increases by 4-6 ohms.
If fuel injector resistance is out of specification, replace fuel injector.
