Fuel line and fuel injectors of four-cylinder gasoline engines

  • 1 - fixing bracket. When installing, check the correct position of the fixing bracket;
  • 2 - filter;
  • 3 - fuel pressure regulator;
  • 4 - sealing rings. If there is damage, new sealing rings must be used;
  • 5 - fuel injector;
  • 6 - fuel line;
  • 7 - connecting the fuel return line;
  • 8 - connecting the fuel supply line

Removal



1. Remove the upper engine cover.

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator.

3. The fuel system is under pressure, so relieve the pressure in the fuel system before disconnecting the fuel system.

4. Place the jack under the vehicle's jacking point. Unscrew the union nut and disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fuel line.



5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.

Engines 1.8-I

1. Disconnect the electrical connector of the Hall sensor located on the cylinder head.

2. Remove the bolts securing the fuel line and remove the fuel line together with the fuel injectors from the intake manifold.

3. Remove the retaining clips securing the fuel distributor and fuel injectors to the fuel rail. Pull the fuel injectors out of the fuel rail.

Warning: When installing, it is necessary to install the fuel injectors in their places.


Installation



1. Before installation, check the condition of the fuel injector sealing rings and replace them if necessary.

2. Lubricate the O-rings with a thin layer of engine oil.

3. Insert the fuel injectors into the fuel line until they stop and secure them with the retaining clips.

4. Install the fuel line together with the fuel injectors onto the intake manifold and press it in until it stops.

5. Screw the fuel line with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 10 Nm.

6. Connect the electrical connectors to the fuel injectors.

7. Screw the fuel supply line to the fuel line.

8. Connect the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator.


Engines 1.8-I

1. Connect the electrical connector of the Hall sensor.

2. Install the upper engine cover.
