1 - Outdoor lighting switch
off
parking lights
low or high beam
Headlights are on only when the ignition is on. During engine start and after the ignition is turned off, they automatically switch to the parking lights.
If, after removing the key from the ignition lock, the lighting devices are not turned off, when the driver's door is open, a buzzer-type signal starts to sound.
Fog lights
Pull out the outdoor lighting switch in the position of the parking lights or the low / high beam to the first fixed position.
Rear fog lights
Vehicles without fog lamps
Turn the exterior light switch to the dipped/main beam position and pull it out as far as it will go.
Cars with fog lights
Pull out the exterior light switch in the position of the parking lights or low / high beam to the second fixed position.
When the rear fog lamps are switched on, the indicator lamp in the instrument cluster lights up.
Due to the strong glare of the rear fog lamps, they should only be switched on when visibility is poor.
The wiring diagram of the factory-installed equipment required for towing a trailer is designed in such a way that when the trailer is operated with rear fog lights, the rear fog lights of the car are automatically turned off.
2 - Illumination of control devices
When the outdoor lighting is on, the brightness of the illumination of control devices is smoothly regulated by a dial located next to the outdoor lighting switch.
3 - Headlight range adjustment
With the help of an electrically operated adjusting mechanism, the headlight beam angle can be continuously adjusted according to the vehicle load. This reduces the risk of dazzling oncoming drivers. At the same time, due to the correct installation of the headlights, the driver is provided with better visibility conditions.
The headlight installation process can only be carried out with the dipped beam on.
To lower the light cone downwards, the rotary control must be moved from the initial position (–) turn down.
On vehicles with gas discharge lamps, when the ignition is switched on, the position of the headlights is automatically adjusted to the load of the vehicle.
4 - Heated rear window
Heating functions only when the ignition is on. When the heating is switched on, the control lamp in the switch lights up.
On vehicles with electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, the heating of the surface of the mirrors is switched on simultaneously with the activation of the heated rear window.
5 - Alarm
The alarm system also functions when the ignition is off.
Turn on the alarm when, for example:
- Your vehicle has stopped due to a technical problem;
- You have been involved in a traffic accident;
- You have reached the end of the traffic jam.
When the alarm is on, all direction indicators flash simultaneously. The direction indicator lamps and the control lamp in the switch also flash.
6 - Heated left seat
The backrest and seat cushion can be electrically heated when the ignition is on.
Heating is switched on by a disk switch-regulator; they also smoothly regulate the intensity of heating.
To turn off the heating, turn the dial to its original position (–).
7 – Heating of the right seat
The backrest and seat cushion can be electrically heated when the ignition is on.
Heating is switched on by the corresponding disk switch-regulator; it also smoothly regulates the intensity of heating.
To turn off the device, turn the switch-regulator to its original position (–).
8 - Traction Control with ASR Engine Torque Reduction
Traction control with engine torque reduction prevents the drive wheels from spinning when accelerating on four-wheel drive vehicles by reducing engine power. The system works throughout the entire speed range in conjunction with the anti-lock system. If there is a malfunction in the ABS, the system does not function. The traction control system is activated automatically when the engine is started. It can be turned on and off at will by pressing the switch. When the system is off, the ASR warning lamp is on.
Normally, the system should always be on. Only in certain exceptional cases, when wheel spin is desired, is it preferable to switch the system off.
For example, when driving with snow chains, when driving in deep snow or on loose ground, when rocking a stuck car.
After overcoming such sections, it is necessary to turn on the traction control system again.
To ensure trouble-free operation of the traction control system, it is necessary that all wheels are dressed in the same tires. Different tire break-in distances can lead to an undesirable reduction in engine power.
8 - Electronic stabilization system ESP
The Electronic Stability Control improves control of the vehicle's dynamics in extreme situations, such as when driving in tight corners. The electronic system allows you to expand the scope of the anti-lock system and traction control systems and reduces the likelihood of skidding and drifting of the car under all road conditions. The system works in the entire range of vehicle speeds in conjunction with the anti-lock braking system. If the anti-lock braking system fails, the electronic stabilization system also stops working. This system is activated automatically when the engine is started. It is possible, by pressing the switch, to turn off this system along with the traction control system with engine torque limitation.
When the stabilization system is off, the control lamp of this system is on.
Usually the stabilization system is always on. Only in certain exceptional cases, when wheel spin is desired, is it preferable to switch the system off.
For example, when driving in deep snow or on loose ground, when rocking a stuck car.

Unlocking the fuel filler cap
Pressing the key unlocks the fuel filler cap. Unblocking also occurs when the ignition is switched off.
