Removal

Disconnect the spark plug wires and the high-voltage wire of the ignition coil from the ignition distributor.
Release the spring clips and remove the distributor cover.

Disconnect the ignition distributor sensor connector.

Remove the ignition distributor sensor rotor.

Remove the flange of the distributor sensor housing.

Remove the ignition distributor sensor.

Installation

Turn the engine crankshaft to the position corresponding to the TDC of the piston of the 1st cylinder, aligning the mark on the toothed pulley of the camshaft with the upper plane of the cylinder head cover gasket.

Make sure there is a cardboard gasket on the supporting surface of the ignition distributor sensor on the cylinder head.

Replace the ignition distributor rotor.

Install the ignition distributor sensor in place, ensuring that the rotor spacer plate is directed towards the mark on the housing, which corresponds to the TDC of the end of the compression stroke of the piston of the 1st cylinder, and is facing the camshaft drive.

Replace the flange and tighten the lock nut.

Replace the ignition distributor cover, making sure there are no cracks or dirt on it.

Connect the high-voltage wires and connect the ignition distributor sensor connector.

Set the ignition timing.

Setting the ignition timing

A stroboscope and a control tachometer are used to adjust the ignition timing.

Connect the stroboscope and tachometer in accordance with the operating instructions.

Start the engine and let it idle.

Direct the flashing light of the stroboscope into the clutch housing hatch. If the ignition timing is set correctly, the timing mark on the flywheel should be opposite the lug on the clutch housing. To adjust the ignition timing, loosen the lock nut of the distributor flange and, by turning the distributor housing, align the marks.

Tighten the lock nut securing the ignition distributor flange.
