Removal
1. Open the door and remove the cap from the locking screw 3 on the end side of the door (see illustration).
2. Pull the door handle 1 and hold it in this position (see illustration 68.1).
3. Using the socket wrench A, unscrew the locking screw 3 until the switch (cylinder) 2 of the lock is released (see illustration 68.1).
Caution: On some 2004 Touran models, the locking screw must be unscrewed only a little, because the locking pin that locks the cylinder may fall inside the door.
4. Remove cylinder 2 together with the cover from the door (see illustration 68.1).
Installation
5. Install the cylinder into the lock and screw in the locking screw. At the same time, push the cylinder and the door handle in or out of the door. The handle should lock into place with a clearly audible click.
6. Check the operation of the door lock without closing the door.

7. Replace the cap on the end face of the door.
