Removal and installation the lock cylinder (VW Polo 4)

Removal

Open the door and press the locking bolt plug "3" from the end of the door.

Pull and hold door handle "1".

Using the socket wrench "4", unscrew bolt "3" until it stops and thereby release the lock cylinder "2".

Caution: Do not unscrew the bolt too far, as this may cause the retaining ring to fall into the door shaft.

Remove the lock cylinder "2" with the cover from the door.

Installation

Insert the lock cylinder into the door and screw in the locking bolt. At the same time, press the lock cylinder and the door handle against the door. The door handle should lock with an audible click.

With the door open, check the operation of the locking mechanism.

Insert the locking bolt plug into the end of the door.
