Removal and installation door trim (VW Polo 4)

Driver's side door/POLO

• Vehicle with window lift handle: remove the handle, see relevant chapter below.
• Place a screwdriver under the handle recess and press the handle recess out of the trim.
• Remove screws -2/3/4-
• Using pressing pliers -6- release the trim at the door clamps.
• Pull the trim from the window opening seal upwards "arrow".
• Disconnect the plug connectors from the rear side of the trim.
• Unhook the cable from the door opening handle and remove the trim.

• Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Check and, if necessary, replace the spacer clamps.

Door on the passenger side next to the driver/POLO

• Vehicle with window lift handle: remove the handle, see relevant chapter below.
• Insert the Allen key "1" through the hole "2" from the back of the handle "8", press the locking hook "arrow A" and remove the handle cover "9" "arrow B".
• Remove screws "3/4/5".
• Using pressing pliers "7", release the trim at the door clamps.
• Pull the trim from the window opening seal upwards "arrow C".
• Disconnect the plug connectors from the rear side of the trim.
• Unhook the cable from the door opening handle and remove the trim.

• Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Check and, if necessary, replace the spacer clamps.

Note: The rear side door trim is removed in a similar manner. The lower screws "5" are missing.
