Note: removal and installation on the IBIZA are carried out in a similar manner. The door lock, window lifter and loudspeaker are fixed to the door mechanism holder. The door lock can only be removed together with the door mechanism holder.
Removal
Remove the door trim, see the relevant chapter above.
Remove the lock cylinder, see previous chapter.
Unfasten the clamp from the door handle, see the relevant chapter above.
Remove the door mechanism holder, see the relevant chapter below.
Using a punch, knock out the clamps "1" of the locking corner.
Using a screwdriver, press out insert "1" for cable rod "2" and insert "6" for locking rod "5".
Using screwdriver "3", press lock "4" together with locking corner "7" away from the door mechanism holder.
Note: The stop corner is attached to the door lock with a screw and rivet.
Turn the locking rod "1" in the direction of the arrow and release. Rear door lock: turn the door lock and release the locking rod.
Unfasten the cable traction "2" from the holder. Turn the cable traction nipple 90° and remove it from the eye.
Installation
Install the lock on the door mechanism holder.
Pull the lock lever "1" in the direction of the arrow.

Using screwdriver "3", compress spring "2" of the lock in the direction of the arrows and hang it on the lock lever.
Note: As a result of hanging the spring on the lock lever, the lock is locked. This prevents further "incorrect" fastening of the cable traction.
Further installation is carried out in reverse order.
With the door open, check the operation of the locking mechanism.
