  • Deviation from the standard automatic mode of the «Climatronic» installation

The automatic operation of the unit creates in almost all cases the best conditions for the well-being of the driver and passengers at all times of the year.

In some cases, however, it becomes necessary to partially change individual functions of the automatic mode using the appropriate keys, while the "Climatronic" continues to operate automatically.

Using keys 11 and 12 (see figure Controls of the climate control system "Climatronic") change the fan speed and thereby increase or decrease the amount of air supplied. This is reflected on the display by an increase or decrease in the number of dashes in the display 2.

By pressing key 1:
  • eCON mode is turned off;
  • recirculation mode is turned off;
  • you can keep your windshield and side windows clear of ice and fogging (direct air from nozzles 4 to the side windows);
  • it is possible to increase the efficiency of clearing the windshield of ice and fogging when, for example, new passengers in wet clothes get into the car shortly after the start of the journey.

Pressing key 10 switches on the recirculation mode. Icon 5 appears on the display.

If key 1 is pressed, the recirculation mode is switched off. To resume the recirculation mode, simply press key 10 again.

The air recirculation mode prevents dust or foul-smelling outside air from entering the passenger compartment, for example when driving through a tunnel or in a traffic jam.

In the air recirculation mode, smoking is prohibited in the cabin, since the smoke coming from the cabin will settle to some extent in the evaporator of the "Climatronic" unit. This will lead to the fact that subsequently, for a long time, the air passing through the unit will have an unpleasant smell, which can be eliminated with great difficulty and significant costs by replacing the evaporator.

Using keys 13 and 14, the air flow can be directed either to the upper body or to the legs.

Air distribution keys 1, 13 and 14 can also be pressed in various combinations.

The refrigeration unit is switched off by pressing key 17 (ECON). In this mode, air heating is automatically regulated (but without cooling and moisturizing it), which allows you to quickly achieve and constantly maintain the desired temperature inside the car.

When key 1 is pressed, the ECON mode is switched off. To resume operation of the unit in this mode, simply press key 17 again.

Please note that in ECON mode the desired interior temperature cannot be lower than the outside air temperature.

You can set the desired temperature in the cabin using keys 15 and 16.

The combination of ECON and recirculation modes is only possible if, in ECON mode, you first press key 10 and then key 17 ECON.

Pressing keys 1, 9 or 10 switches off the ECON mode.

By pressing key 11 you can switch off the entire installation. To do this, hold key 11 down until the inscription "OFF" appears in the display field 3.

This key should only be used in exceptional cases, such as when the installation is not working properly.

Warning: When there is no longer any need to deviate from the automatic mode parameters, it is imperative to switch the automatic mode back on by pressing key 9 (AUTO).
