Failures in the operation of the «Climatronic» unit (VW Golf 4)

If after switching on the ignition all symbols on the display flash for approximately 15 seconds, the system is faulty – contact a Volkswagen service centre.

If the "Climatronic" unit suddenly stops working, the reasons for this may be:

• the outside air temperature is lower than approximately +5°C;
• the refrigeration compressor has temporarily shut down due to excessively high engine coolant temperature;
• the fuses have blown. The fuses must be checked and replaced if necessary. If the cause of the failure is not a faulty fuse, you should contact a specialist.

If the cooling capacity of the unit has decreased, contact a specialist.
