The clutch can be removed without removing the engine from the vehicle.
The gearbox is removed.
The position of the clutch installation relative to the flywheel is marked. For this purpose, a center punch is used to knock out marks on the flywheel and on the clutch.
The six clutch bolts are unscrewed evenly and crosswise until the spring pressure is released. For this purpose, the flywheel must be held in an appropriate manner.
The clutch is removed and the pressure plate is extracted. Note that the long side of the receiving disk sleeve is directed towards the gearbox, i.e. outward. If you imprint this now, there will be no difficulties later.
Immediately wash the inside of the flywheel with rags and check the friction side of the flywheel. If the receiving disk is worn down to the countersunk heads of the rivets, this could mean that the rivets have already worn out in the flywheel surface or in the clutch pressure plate.
If the engine or gearbox is removed, the clutch should always be unscrewed so that its condition can be checked.
