A) Remove the ignition distributor cap.
b) Pry out the contacts with a screwdriver. Slight blue burns on the pins indicate damage to the capacitor. At the same time, gray or black burns are normal.
V) With the distributor cap removed, start the engine with the help of another person. During start-up, observe the breaker contacts. If constant strong sparks occur between the contact planes, this indicates a malfunction of the capacitor. At the same time, weak sparks are normal.
