Contents: Removal ↓ Installation ↓
Over time, burnt spots in the form of small bumps and craters form on the breaker contacts. In addition, the plastic cam wears out, which leads to a decrease in the distance between the contacts. As a result, the spark power decreases. The breaker contacts must be replaced every 20,000 km.

Attention! The contact between the breaker and the cam lasts for approximately 30,000 km.

Removal

Remove the distributor cap and rotor.

Disconnect connector «c», unscrew screw «a» and remove the breaker contact.

Disconnect connector "c", unscrew screw "a" and remove the breaker contact.

Installation

Lubricate the contact support with a drop of oil.

Install the breaker contact. Lubricate the sliding surface of the cam and the plastic cam at the contact with a small amount of general-purpose grease.

Carefully remove any oil or grease that may have come into contact with the contact surfaces. The contact surfaces must be parallel to each other.

Connect the wire to the breaker contact.

Adjust the angle of the closed state of the breaker contacts.

Set the slider.

Inspect the distributor cap for cracks and signs of surface leakage current.

Clean the lid inside and out. Replace the defective cover.

Check the position and condition of the carbon contact, install the distributor cap.

Adjust the ignition timing.
