The measurement is carried out as follows:
- The engine must be in a warm, working condition.
- Remove and insulate the wire at the high pressure fuel pump switch.
- Remove all high pressure pipes and lay them on a clean surface.
- Remove nozzles (see section "Dismantling the nozzles", chapter "Diesel injection system").
- Screw the tester with adapter into the injector hole of the first cylinder; put on the old heat-insulating seal.
- Turn crankshaft with starter (gear lever in "neutral"), until the value on the scale of the compression gauge increases further.
- Record the specified value; then measure at the next cylinder.
