- puller T10095A;
- torque wrench (5-50 Nm) V. A. G 1331;
- compression gauge VA G 1763;
- candle key 3122 V;
- mounting tool Т10118.
NOTE: Engine oil temperature must be at least 30°C. The battery voltage must be at least 11.5 V.
NOTE: All electrical consumers, such as headlights and heated rear window, must be turned off. If the car is equipped with an air conditioner, it should also be turned off.
NOTE: On vehicles with automatic transmission, move the selector to *P» or «M». Fuses 13 and 14 (arrows in figure 2.14) must be retrieved from their nests.
Checking procedure
Remove the engine cover.
Remove ignition coils with output stages.
Unscrew the spark plugs with a spark plug wrench 3122 V.
Measure the compression with the VA G 1763 compression tester.
Have an assistant fully depress the accelerator pedal and start the engine.
Crank the starter until the compression gauge stops increasing.
Compression value: new: 10-13 bar; wear limit: 7.5 bar; permissible difference between all cylinders: 3 bar.
Screw in the spark plugs with a 3122V spark plug wrench and tighten them to a torque of 20 Nm.
After completion of installation work
Connect tester VAS 5052. Carry out test of vehicle systems.
Complete testing of vehicle systems so that error records created due to installation are automatically deleted. Take a test drive. Generate an OBD Read Code and test drive.
Observe the safety measures in force for test drives.
Then re-test the vehicle systems and correct any errors that have occurred.
