At the enterprise, the ball joint is riveted to the triangular suspension arm.
Three bolts N7x22 with spring rings are required to mount the support. Chassis numbers up to 178 317 3584 have ball bearings with a pin diameter of 15 mm: later pins with a diameter of 17 mm were installed. Older vehicles can fit 17mm trunnions with newer wheel bearing housings.
Remove the triangular suspension arm.
Rivets are drilled with a 6 mm drill.
Knock off the rivet heads with a chisel, remove the remnants.
Tighten bolts to 25 Nm.
