Removing
1. Unscrew the ball joint nut.
2. Press out the tie rod joint pin using a commercially available press (A) from the tie rod lever.
3. Loosen the ball joint from the tie rod while counting the revolutions. Record for later assembly.
Installation
1. Screw the new joint onto the tie rod with the same number of turns.
2. Tighten the joint with a locknut to a torque of 55 Nm.
3. Insert the pivot pin into the tie rod arm and tighten with a new self-tightening nut to a torque of 40 Nm.
4. Check the wheel alignment at the service station.
