ATTENTION: When performing installation work, especially in the engine compartment due to its dense layout, the following instructions must be observed. All types of lines (for example, fuel, hydraulic, activated carbon absorber, cooling system, air conditioning system circuit, brake system, vacuum), and the electrical cables must be laid as they were originally laid. Sufficient space must be ensured when working on all moving or hot components. To avoid accidents and/or damage to the injection and pre-heating system, the following requirements must be observed. Disconnecting and connecting electrical cables for the injection and pre-heating system, as well as measuring instruments, is only permitted when the starter and instrument switches are switched off. Disconnecting and connecting battery terminals must only be carried out when the ignition is switched off, since otherwise the control unit of the direct injection system of the diesel engine may be damaged.

CAUTION: Instructions and rules for maintaining cleanliness must be strictly followed before and during work. If parts/components of the fuel system between the tank and the injection pump have been removed or replaced, it is necessary to prime the fuel system to remove air (operation in dry friction mode is not allowed).

- 1 - Fuel tank with fuel booster pump "G6"
- 2 - Fuel filter with preheating valve
- 3 - Additional fuel pump "V393"
- 4 - Mesh filter
- 5 - Fuel temperature sensor -G81 -
- 6 - Fuel injection pump, after replacement it is necessary to fill it with fuel (to prevent dry running)
- 7 - Fuel metering valve "N₂90", do not remove
- 8 - Fuel pressure regulator "N₂76"
- 9 - High pressure accumulator (fuel rail)
- 10 - Fuel pressure sensor "G247"
- 11 - Pressure reducing valve. The task of the pressure reducing valve is to maintain the residual pressure in the return fuel line at about 10 bar at all times. This is necessary for the piezo injectors to operate normally. The pressure reducing valve can only be replaced as a complete set with the return fuel lines. After replacement, the engine must be allowed to idle for about 2 minutes to remove air from the fuel system
- 12 - Injectors (piezo injectors). Injector 1st cylinder "N30". Injector 2nd cylinder "N31". Injector 3rd cylinder "N32". Injector 4th cylinder "N33"
