Caution: The fuel injection pump must not operate in dry friction mode. Before the first start of the engine, the fuel injection pump must be filled with fuel (operation in dry friction mode is not allowed).
Remove the toothed belt from the camshaft pulleys and the fuel injection pump. Disconnect the electrical connector "1" and unscrew the bolts "arrows".
Caution: When removing the plug connectors, be careful not to damage the wire connections, otherwise the entire wiring harness will have to be replaced. When removing the connectors, do not squeeze the pliers "3314" so hard that you damage the mandrel.

Install the pliers "3314" with the groove "arrow A" on the flange of the mandrel "arrow B" and remove the connectors from the glow plugs.

Carefully remove the connector in the direction of the arrow from the glow plug. Unscrew the screws securing the cooling system pipe to the intake manifold and set the pipe aside. Disconnect the return fuel line from the high-pressure fuel pump. Disconnect the return fuel line from the high-pressure accumulator (rail) and set it aside. Remove the high-pressure pipe between the high-pressure fuel pump and the pressure accumulator (fuel rail). Remove the toothed pulley from the high-pressure fuel pump.

Holding the fuel injection pump hub with the "T10051" stop, loosen the tightening of its fastening nut "1".

Install the puller "T40064" with the stop -T40064/1- as shown in the figure, and remove the hub from the shaft tail. If necessary, hold with a 24 spanner.

Unscrew the bolts securing the fuel injection pump "arrow". Remove the fuel injection pump.

Installation in reverse order.
