Caution: When removing the plug connectors, be careful not to damage the wire connections, otherwise the entire wiring harness will have to be replaced. When removing the connectors, do not squeeze the pliers "3314" so hard that you damage the mandrel.
Install the pliers "3314" with the groove "arrow A" to the flange of the mandrel "arrow B".
Remove the connector carefully in the direction of the arrow from the glow plug. Disconnect the return line fittings from the ramp, injectors and high-pressure fuel pump.

Unscrew the "arrow" fastening screw and remove the return fuel line. Remove the high-pressure pipeline between the fuel injection pump and the rail.
Disconnect the connectors from the exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18-1- and the air damper unit "J338" "3". Loosen clamp "4" and disconnect the boost air hose.
Unscrew the screws securing the dipstick tube "arrow" and the connecting tube of the exhaust gas recirculation system "2". Unscrew the bolts securing the intake manifold using the "T40159" attachment. Unscrewing order: crosswise, starting with the outer bolts. Remove the intake manifold.
Installation in reverse order, taking into account the following: Replace the gaskets. Tighten the intake manifold mounting bolts. Tightening order: crosswise, starting with the inner bolts.
