Examination
To check: the engine must be cold.

Check the resistance between the disconnected wire "1" and ground with an ohmmeter. Specified value: 0.25-0.50 ohms.
Check the supply voltage between wire "2" and ground. Specified value: not less than 11.5 volts.
If the values deviate from the specified ones, replace the intake pipe heater.

Removal
Remove the air filter.
Remove the carburetor.
Unscrew nut "1" and bolt "2".
Loosen the intake manifold mounting bolts on the cylinder heads.
Lift the intake pipe and unscrew the 3 heater bolts.
Place a wooden block under the inlet pipe.
Carefully tap the heater out of the intake pipe with a plastic hammer (arrow).
Disconnect the electrical wire from the heater.
Installation
Wet the rubber sealing ring of the coolant inlet pipe heater, this will make installation easier.
Insert the intake pipe heater with a new sealing ring and secure with 3 bolts (7 Nm).
Secure the intake manifold with new gaskets to the cylinder heads with a tightening torque of 20 Nm.
Connect the electrical wires of the intake manifold heater.
Screw on the water pipe, bolts "1" and "2".
Install the carburetor.
Install the air filter.
