Note: The pressing tool is only required for the sealing flange without a support sleeve.
Removal the flange
Remove the gearbox.
Remove the flywheel and/or driven disk.
Remove the oil pan.

Unscrew the sealing flange (fig. 2.144).
Installing the flange
Remove any remaining oil from the crankshaft journal using a clean rag.
Note: Do not additionally lubricate the working edge of the oil seal.
Clean the mounting surfaces. They should be free of oil and grease.
Sealing flange with support sleeve
For installation, use the support sleeve included in the kit. The support sleeve can be removed only after installing the flange on the crankshaft connecting rod journal. The flange is mounted on the mounting pins.
Sealing flange without support sleeve
Connect the mandrels.

Place the sealing flange A with the outer side onto the mandrels (fig. 2.145).
Disconnect the mandrels.

Place the sealing flange A with the mandrel on the crankshaft and slide the sealing flange onto the crankshaft journal (fig. 2.146).
Tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 15 Nm.
Install the oil pan.
Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
