Note: The press-in device is only required for the sealing flange without the support sleeve.
Flange removal
Remove the gearbox.
Remove flywheel and/or driven disc.
Remove the oil pan.

Unscrew the sealing flange (pic. 2.144).
Flange installation
Wipe off any remaining oil on the crankshaft journal with a clean rag.
Note: Do not additionally lubricate the sealing lip.
Clean the seating surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.
Sealing flange with support sleeve
For installation, use the support sleeve included in the kit. The support sleeve can only be removed after installing the flange on the connecting rod journal of the crankshaft. The flange is mounted on the dowel pins.
Sealing flange without support sleeve
Connect the mandrels.

Push the sealing flange A with the outer side onto the mandrels (pic. 2.145).
Disconnect the mandrels.

Slide the sealing flange A with the mandrel onto the crankshaft and slide the sealing flange onto the crankshaft stub (pic. 2.146).
Tighten the fixing bolts with a torque of 15 Nm.
Install the oil pan.
Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order of dismantling.
