To unlock the hood, pull the handle located on the left under the front panel - the engine compartment hood will be released from the locking device and will sharply rise slightly upward under the action of the spring (Fig. 1.24).

At the same time, a handle will appear in the radiator grille (Fig. 1.25).
Note: Before opening the bonnet, make sure that the windscreen wiper arms are not tilted forward. Otherwise, the paintwork may be damaged.
Opening
The hood should be slightly raised and the handle pulled in the direction of the arrow - see the right picture. This will release the locking hook.
Raise the hood and open it all the way. In the open position, the hood is held by a gas cylinder stop.
Closing
Grasp the hood from the side of the stop cylinder. Pull the hood downwards until the resistance of the stop cylinder is overcome and then allow the hood to fall freely into the locking catch - do not apply pressure.

For safety reasons, the hood must always be locked when the vehicle is in motion. Therefore, each time you close the hood, check whether the locking device has engaged. The hood must be securely connected to the corresponding body elements.
If, while the vehicle is moving, it is noticed that the hood locking device has not worked, you should stop immediately and lock the engine hood.
