To unlock the hood, pull the handle located on the left under the front panel - the hood of the engine compartment will be released from the locking device and rise sharply slightly up under the action of the spring (pic. 1.24).

At the same time, a handle will appear in the grille (pic. 1.25).
Note: Before opening the hood, make sure that the wiper arms are not tilted forward. Otherwise, the paintwork may be damaged.
Opening
Raise the hood slightly and pull the handle in the direction of the arrow - see right figure. This will release the locking hook.
Raise the hood and open it until it stops. When open, the hood is held by a gas cylinder-stop.
Closing
Grab the hood from the side of the stop cylinder. Pull the hood down until the resistance of the stop cylinder is overcome and then let the hood fall freely into the locking lock - do not press.
For safety reasons, the hood must always be locked when the vehicle is in motion. Therefore, every time you close the hood, check that the locking device is engaged. The hood must be securely connected to the corresponding elements of the body.
If, while driving, it is noticed that the hood latch has not worked, you should immediately stop and lock the hood of the engine compartment.
