Position A: The boot lid can be locked and unlocked using the central locking system.
Position B: The trunk lid is permanently locked.
After this, the trunk lid can only be unlocked using the radio key or the switch in the driver's door.
Position C: If the central lock is faulty or the battery is flat, in this position of the lock cylinder the boot lid can be unlocked mechanically using the key.

To open the unlocked trunk lid, press the lever under the lower edge of the lid (Fig. 1.17) and lift the lid.
To close the trunk lid, pull it down, for which it is best to grab the recessed handle in the inner lining of the lid, and, slightly rocking, slam the lid shut.

After locking the trunk lid, always try to pull it up to make sure that the trunk lid is securely locked. Otherwise, it may suddenly open while driving, even if the lock is locked.
