The trunk lid of the car is attached to the body by hinges and is supported in the open position by gas springs (photo 11.28).

To remove the trunk lid, you must perform the following steps:

1. Remove the door trim.

2. Disconnect the pipes supplying fluid to the rear window sprinkler nozzle.

3. Remove the safety catch and disconnect the gas springs.

4. Loosen the bolts securing the rear cover hinges to the body and remove the cover.

To remove the rear glass, you must perform the following steps:

1. Disconnect the electrical connections for the rear window heater.

2. Remove the trim from the glass gasket.

3. Pressing on the glass from the inside (starting from the corner), remove it together with the gasket.

4. Remove the gasket from the glass.

Installation



During installation, no sealing pastes should be used. Sealing paste is used only to eliminate possible water leaks detected during inspection or operation of the vehicle.

To remove or adjust the position of the rear cover lock, you need to unscrew the two fastening screws.
