General Provisions

If the radial or lateral runout of the disk and tire overlap, the wheel runout increases.

100% rotation accuracy is not possible due to technical features.

Before minimizing the mounted wheels on the car, it is necessary to drive to warm up the tires. Due to this, it is possible to eliminate flattening, if any.

The order of performing minimization

Deflate the tire.

Press the tire beads away from the rim flanges.

Lubricate the tire sides with tire mounting paste all around the circumference.

Rotate the tire 180° relative to the rim.

Inflate the tire to approximately 4 bar.

Place the wheel and tire on the balancing stand.

Check the rotational accuracy for radial and lateral runout.

Note: If the nominal value of radial and lateral runout is not exceeded, the wheel can be balanced to 0 grams.

Note: If the radial and/or lateral runout is outside the tolerance, the tire should be rotated again.

Deflate the tire and push the tire beads away from the rim flanges.

Rotate the tire 90° relative to the rim (quarter turn).

Re-inflate the tire to 4 bar and check the wheel rotation accuracy.

Note: If the nominal value of radial and lateral runout is not exceeded, the wheel can be balanced to 0 grams.

If the radial and/or lateral runout is still outside the tolerance, the tire should be rotated again.

Press the tire away from the rim flanges again as described above.

Rotate the tire 180° relative to the rim (half a turn).

If the radial and/or lateral runout is still greater than normal, check the disc for runout.

If the measured values of the radial and lateral runout of the disk are within the tolerance limits, then the tire has an unacceptable runout. In this case, the tire should be replaced.

Note: Due to the mounting of the tyre, there is tyre mounting paste between the tyre and the rim flanges.

Note: Therefore, sharp braking and acceleration should be avoided during the first 100–200 km. Otherwise, the tire may spin on the disk, and the work done will have to be done again.
