Attention: It is strictly forbidden to use other lubricants.
To do this, turn the steering mechanism in both directions until it stops.
For better clarity, the figure shows the removed steering gear.

Apply to rack teeth A and rack rod (from the abutment side) lubricant (pic. 5.29).
Set the wheels straight ahead.

Screw the tie rod into the tie rod end until dimension A is reached (pic. 5.34).
Dimension A = 371±1 mm.
On steering draft put on new collars and a corrugated cover.
Screw the steering rod into the rack rod and tighten.

Corrugated cover 2 put on the steering rod 1 as shown in Figure 5.30.
Put the corrugated cover on the crankcase of the steering mechanism and slide it all the way.
Use the Phaeton steering pliers to crimp the new clamp as shown.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order.
After installation, check the wheel alignment.
Adjust wheel alignment.
Carry out the basic setting of the angle encoder with.
After that, carry out the basic setting of the steering with the tester.
