Clamp location (A) and fastening bolt (IN) fuel hoses
Order of execution
1. Place an appropriate container under the fuel filter.
2. To allow air to enter the power system, loosen the clamp (A), and unscrew the bolt (IN) hose fittings, see fig. Clamp location (A) and fastening bolt (IN) fuel hoses.
3. Unscrew the air bleed bolt at the top of the filter and loosen the fluid drain plug at the bottom and drain the fluid (about 100 cm3) until clean fuel is available. To purposefully drain the liquid, you can put a hose on the plug.
Warning: Do not drain the entire contents of the fuel filter.
4. Screw in the air bleed bolt at the top of the filter and the plug at the bottom.
Warning: After draining the water from the fuel filter, it is not necessary to bleed the air from the fuel system.
5. To close the air supply to the power system, tighten the clamp (A), and screw in the bolt (IN) attaching the hose to the bracket, see fig. Clamp location (A) and fastening bolt (IN) fuel hoses.
6. The removal of air from the fuel system will occur automatically after starting the engine. After a few depresses of the accelerator pedal, bubble-free fuel should flow through the transparent pipe to the high pressure fuel pump.
7. Visually check the fuel system for leaks, especially at the fuel filter connections.
