Diesel engine
Attention: Diesel fuel that gets on rubber parts, such as cooling system hoses, must be wiped off immediately, otherwise these parts will deteriorate over time.
Caution: Diesel fuel must never be simply poured onto the ground or disposed of with household waste. The administration of districts and cities should inform about the location of the nearest collection points for special waste.
Required tool:
- Suitable container for draining sludge.
- Fuel resistant auxiliary hose for draining sediment water.
Required consumables:
- O-ring for control valve.
Water removal
- Loosen clamp -3- and remove control valve -4- together with connected fuel hoses. 1,2 - fuel hoses, arrows show the location of the fastening brackets.
- Fit drain plug connection -arrow- with an auxiliary drain hose.
- Loosen the drain plug and drain about 0.1 liters of liquid from the filter. This is about the size of a cup of coffee.
- Tighten the drain plug and disconnect the auxiliary hose.
- Install a new O-ring for the control valve seal.
- Insert control valve -4- and secure with clip -3-.
- Start the engine and leave it to idle. Make sure that the fuel lines and connectors of the fuel supply system are sealed.
- Press the accelerator pedal several times to purge air from the fuel system.
