Caution: The old oil filter or replacement filter element must be disposed of as special waste.

  • Using a 30 mm wrench, loosen the oil filter from below using the Allen key "arrow".
  • After this, unscrew the filter by hand. Collect the spilled motor oil with a rag.
  • Clean the oil filter flange on the engine block using a cleaning agent. Remove any remaining filter sealing gasket on the flange.
  • Lubricate the rubber sealing ring of the new oil filter with a thin layer of clean motor oil.
  • Tighten the new oil filter only by hand. After the filter sealing gasket is in contact with the crankcase flange, tighten the filter another ½ turn in the tightening direction. Follow the instructions on the filter housing.

  • Unscrew the cover "5" from above using a 36 mm socket head, for example, HAZET 2169-36.
  • Remove the cover together with the replaceable filter element "1". Collect any spilled engine oil with a rag.
  • Remove the old replacement filter element from the cover
  • Replace the circular sealing rings -2/3/1- of the filter cover.
  • Insert a new filter element.
  • Screw on the oil filter cover and tighten to a torque of 25 Nm.




1.9L SDI diesel engine, ASY



1.9L SDI diesel engine, ASY

  • Unscrew cover "1", for example, using a strap wrench.
  • Replace the replaceable filter element "4" and the circular sealing rings "2/3" of the filter cover.
  • Screw on the oil filter cover and tighten to a torque of 25 Nm.

  • Unscrew the top cover "arrow" using a replaceable 36 mm socket head, for example, HAZET 2169-36.
  • Remove the cover together with the replaceable filter element. Collect any spilled engine oil with a rag.
  • Insert a new filter element.
  • Place the oil filter cover with a new O-ring and tighten to 25 Nm.
  • Lower the car.
