Replacing the air filter element (VW Transporter T4)

No special tools are required. You need to purchase an air filter element.

Removal

1. Open the folding lock (1). Press down and remove the locking handle (2) from the hooks.

2. Remove the filter cover upwards.

3. Remove the filter element from the housing.

4. Clean the filter housing with a rag.

Installation

1. Install a new filter element (arrow) into the filter housing. The filter element is not cleaned and is not reused.

2. Replace the filter cover, making sure that the spouts on its edge fit into the corresponding slots.

3. Close the quick release lock.

4. Lift the locking handle up until it clicks.
