Removal and installation the air filter element on engines with the letter designation BSA (1.4 l, petrol, 55 kW, 75 hp until 05.2006.)
To attach the upper part of the air filter housing to the lower part, as well as to attach the air intake pipe, self-tapping screws are used in serial production, the tightening torque of which should not exceed 3 Nm.
Removal
The air filter element is integrated into the engine casing.
To remove the air filter element, follow these steps:.
1. Remove the engine cover (upper).
2. Place the engine casing face down on a soft surface to avoid damage.
3. Unscrew the bolts (arrows).

4. Remove the lower part of the air filter housing (1) and remove the air filter element (2) from the housing.

5. Clean the bottom of the air filter housing before installing the new air filter element.
Installation
1. Insert the new filter element (2) into the lower part of the air filter housing (1).

2. The screws (arrows) should be tightened to a torque of no more than 3 Nm (see figure VC 1.054).
3. Reinstall the upper engine cover.
