Diesel engine
Attention: Diesel fuel that gets on rubber parts, such as cooling system hoses, must be wiped off immediately, otherwise these parts will deteriorate over time.
Caution: Diesel fuel must never be simply poured onto the ground or disposed of with household waste. The administration of districts and cities should inform about the location of the nearest collection points for special waste.
Required consumables:
- O-ring for control valve.
- Fuel filter for the respective engine.
- Approximately 0.2 liters of clean diesel fuel to fill the fuel filter.
Removing
- Loosen clamp -3- and remove control valve -4- together with connected fuel hoses. 1,2 - fuel hoses, arrows show the location of the fastening brackets.
- Detach fuel hoses -1- and -2-. First, using special HAZET 798-5 pliers, release and slide the spring clamps onto the hoses.
- Release retaining clips -arrows- and remove fuel filter towards top.
Installation
- Fill the new fuel filter with clean diesel fuel. This will allow the engine to start faster.
- Install a new O-ring for the control valve seal.
- Insert the fuel filter and secure it with the fastening brackets.
- Insert the control valve with connected hoses and secure with a clamp.
- Connect fuel hoses and secure with clamps.
Attention: Do not mix up the connection points. The direction of fuel flow is indicated by arrows on top of the filter.
- Start the engine and leave it to idle. Make sure that the fuel lines and connectors of the fuel supply system are sealed.
- Press the accelerator pedal several times to purge air from the fuel system.
