Fuel filter for diesel engines
- 1 - spring clip;
- 2 - valve;
- 3 - fuel hose;
- 4 - fuel hose
Execution order
1. Place a suitable container under the fuel filter.
2. Release the spring clip (1) and remove the hose assembly from the valve (2) (see picture Fuel filter for diesel engines)
3. Remove the clamps securing the fuel lines to the fuel filter and remove the fuel lines from the filter fittings.
4. Loosen the filter mounting screw (indicated by the arrow) and remove the fuel filter by pulling it upwards.
5. Replace the valve O-ring and lubricate it with clean diesel fuel.
6. Fill the filter with diesel fuel, which will help the engine start faster.
7. Install the fuel filter into the holder and secure it with the screw.
8. Replace the valve and secure it with the spring clip.
9. Connect the fuel lines to the filter and secure them with clamps. The arrow on the fuel filter indicates the direction of fuel flow.
10. The fuel system will be bled automatically after the engine is started. After several presses of the accelerator pedal, the fuel without bubbles should flow through the transparent pipe to the high-pressure fuel pump.
11. Visually check the fuel system for leaks, especially at the fuel filter connections.
