Replacing the fuel filter (diesel engines) (VW Lt 2d)

1. Disconnect the retainer 5. Remove the regulating valve with the fuel lines attached. Disconnect fuel lines 1 and 2 (figure 1.10).

2. Loosen clamp 1 and remove the old filter (figure 1.11).

3. Install a new filter, filling it with diesel fuel to speed up engine starting. Install a new O-ring onto the regulating valve and install it together with the attached fuel lines.

4. Secure clamp 5 and connect fuel lines 1 and 2. Secure all fuel lines with clamps.

5. Secure the new filter with clamp 1.

6. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks. Press the gas pedal several times and check through the transparent tube that fuel flows without air at idle.
