Changing the oil in a manual transmission (VW Lt 2d)

• Manual transmission oil capacity 0001: 2.2 l.
• Manual transmission oil capacity 0002: 1.6 l.

1. Wipe the surface around the filler 1 and drain 2 plugs (figure 1.21).



2. Unscrew the plugs and drain the oil. Check the sealing rings on the plugs and replace any damaged ones.

3. Screw in the drain plug and tighten it to 60 Nm.

4. Fill the oil to the bottom edge of the filler hole and screw in the plug to 60 Nm.
