Checking the operation of the sensor
Turn off the ignition. Move the rubber cover of the ignition distributor connector, connect the LED tester to terminals "2" (green and white wire) and "3" (red-black wire) connectors (fig. 2-133) and briefly turn on the starter. The LED of the tester should flash. If this does not happen, check the serviceability of the camshaft angular position sensor.

Checking the sensor supply voltage
Turn off the ignition. Disconnect the sensor connector, connect the voltmeter to terminals "1" and "3" (fig. 2-134) cable part of the connector, turn on the ignition and check the voltage with a voltmeter, which should be at least 10 V.
