Checking the supply voltage of the crankshaft speed sensor (VW Passat B4)

Turn off the ignition.

Disconnect the sensor connector, connect the voltmeter to terminals "1" and "3" of the cable part of the connector (fig. 2-134), turn on the ignition and check the voltage with a voltmeter, which should be no less than 9 V.
