Note: The idle air control valve forms a single unit with the idle speed position sensor of the throttle valve and the potentiometric throttle position sensor.
Turn off the ignition.
Disconnect the 8-pin throttle position sensor connector (fig. 2-125). connect an ohmmeter to terminals "2" and "1" of the sensor block and check the resistance, which should be within 3-200 Ohms with the throttle valve closed.
