Disconnect the 8-pin sensor connector.
Connect an ohmmeter to terminal "3" of the sensor and to the "ground" (fig. 2-125) and check the resistance with an ohmmeter, which should be no more than 1.5 ohms with the throttle valve closed and equal to "infinity" with the valve open.
Turn on the ignition and connect the voltmeter to terminals "7" and "4", "7" and "3" of the cable part of the connector (fig. 2-126), check the switch supply voltage, which should be at least 4.5 V. Turn off the ignition.

To check the connection of the switch to the "ground", connect an ohmmeter to terminal "7" of the switch and to the "ground" (fig. 2-126) and check the resistance with an ohmmeter, which should be equal to 0.
