Connect the test pressure gauge hoses to the fuel supply hose and to the fuel line (fig. 2-124). Start the engine at idle speed and check the regulated fuel pressure using the pressure gauge, which should be equal to 2.5 kgf/cm².
Disconnect the vacuum hose of the fuel pressure regulator from the intake manifold and check the pressure on the pressure gauge, which should be equal to 3.0 kgf/cm². Turn off the ignition and after 10 minutes check the residual fuel pressure on the pressure gauge, which should be no lower than 2.0 kgf/cm².
Disconnect the test pressure gauge hoses. Connect the fuel supply and vacuum hoses.
