Checking and adjusting the idle speed (VW Transporter T3)

To set the idle speed, you need a tachometer suitable for diesel engines.

Connect the tachometer to the W terminal of the generator.

The cold start accelerator rod must not be tensioned.

Bring the engine up to operating temperature (oil temperature 50-70 degrees.).

Turn off current consumers (spotlight, radio).



(23-085) Set the idle speed using the adjusting washer (see arrow) equal to 800-850.

Caution! Setting the idle speed must be very precise.
