The engine must be warm (Macna temperature must be at least 80°C).
All electrical consumers must be turned off. This also applies to the electric fan.
Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose and plug it.
The ignition must be properly adjusted.
The throttle body must be in good condition; at idle, the damper must be closed.
It is necessary to have a gas analyzer and a tachometer. Both devices must be connected according to the instructions.
A special key is needed to adjust the CO content in the exhaust gases.
Connect the gas analyzer to the measuring pipe after removing the plug from the intake manifold. The connection must be tight. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
Start the engine and let it idle, the tachometer should show (800±50) rpm Take readings of the CO content, it should be (0,7±0,4) %.
If necessary, adjust the CO content with the quantity and quality screws.
Connecting the crankcase ventilation hose will increase the CO content due to the presence of oil fumes.
Fixed Catalyst Engine Equipped with Digijet
The idle speed adjustment in such an engine is carried out in a manner similar to that described above, with the only difference that the oxygen sensor is not turned off. The CO content is measured in the exhaust pipe of the muffler and should be (1,5±0,5) %.
