(23-081) set cylinder 1 to top dead center. To do this, rotate the cardan shaft until the marking on the flywheel coincides with the tide, while the cam pair of the 1st cylinder should look up.
The cold start accelerator link must not be pulled out.
Timing belt tension should be correct.
Unscrew the screw plug on the fuel pump cover.
(23-015) instead of a screw plug, screw the adapter together with a small pointer device (measurement limits 0-30 mm) until the pointer starts to move. Install the device on "0" setting wheel. Then insert the device further until the reading of the device becomes approximately 2.5 mm.
Turn the cardan shaft slowly against the direction of engine rotation (those. to the left), until the gauge pointer stops.
Install the device on "0".
Rotate the propeller shaft in the direction of engine rotation (right), until the mark on the flywheel lines up with the setting mark. Now the device should show a stroke of 0.83-0.97 mm.
Attention! If the readings are within these limits, no adjustment is necessary.
If necessary, set the feed start.
To adjust, unscrew both top bolts of the bracket and the mounting bolts of the rear support.
Attention! Do not loosen the bolts securing the bracket to the engine housing, otherwise coolant may leak out in the case of a 1.7 l engine, see illustration. "Engine cooling system 1.7 l".
(23-095) unscrew the lower mounting bolt on the bracket through the hole in the fuel pump gear, shown by the arrow.
Set the beginning of the fuel pump supply to 0.88-0.92 by twisting the pump. This value is valid for diesel and turbodiesel.
Tighten the fuel pump.
Screw in the screw plug on the pump cover.
Attention! The seal of the screw plug must always be replaced, tightening torque 15 Nm. Tighten in case of leaks, permissible torque 25 Nm.
