Removal and installation the ignition distributor
Removal and installation of the ignition distributor are carried out as indicated in the subsection "KR Engine Ignition System".
Setting the initial ignition timing angle
Warm up the engine (oil temperature not less than 80°C). Make sure the throttle valve idle position sensor is adjusted correctly. Connect the stroboscope to the ignition distributor according to the operating instructions.
Loosen the distributor housing mounting bolts. Start the engine. Remove the clutch housing hatch cover and direct the stroboscope beam into the hatch. To better see the timing marks, lean closer to the clutch housing. If the ignition timing is set correctly, the timing mark on the flywheel should align with the mark on the clutch housing.
To set the ignition timing, align the marks by turning the distributor housing.
Tighten the distributor housing mounting bolts and disconnect the stroboscope. Install the clutch housing hatch cover in place.
