Loosen the lock nuts and loosen the cable equalizer adjusting nuts as much as possible (fig. 7-19, 7-20). Tighten the parking brake by four teeth of the sector. Tighten the equalizer adjusting nuts until it is impossible to turn the rear wheels by hand. Set the parking brake drive lever to the lowest position and make sure that both rear wheels rotate freely. Lower the car.

With rear disc brakes, adjusting the parking brake is only necessary when replacing the parking brake cable, calipers, brake pads and discs. Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands. Set the parking brake lever to its lowest position. Remove the plastic trim from the parking brake lever bracket. Loosen the locknuts and tighten the adjusting nuts of the cable equalizer so that the parking brake levers move away from the stops on the calipers. The gap between the levers and the stops should not exceed 1.5 mm. Tighten the locknuts of the adjusting nuts and install the plastic trim. Lower the rear of the vehicle.
